Todd D. Kleine serves as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at 91Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½. Since 2021, he has led the DU-IT team, providing strategic direction for major institutional technology initiatives. His leadership has driven the comprehensive redevelopment of the university’s wired and wireless networks, the transition to VoIP communications, the deployment of advanced technologies at the Chicago campus, and the migration of core systems to cloud-based environments.
Todd also served as Project Director for the university’s $2.5 million Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program grant—one of only three awarded in Illinois. Under his guidance, the grant supported critical upgrades to campus infrastructure, instructional environments, and user devices, while also expanding DU-IT staff capacity and delivering digital literacy workshops for the broader community.
In addition to his work with DU-IT, Todd chaired the Institutional Governance Task Force, leading efforts to reimagine shared governance at 91Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½. This work resulted in a revised committee structure and the development of the university’s Institutional Decision Matrix. He also serves as chair of the Data Management Committee and as an adjunct instructor in the College of Business, Information Studies, and Technology, where he teaches Management Information Systems and Records Management.
A long-standing member of the 91Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½ community, Todd previously held leadership roles as Executive Director of Systems and Operations in Enrollment Management and Marketing, Business Analyst in DU-IT, and Residence Hall Director for the Coughlin and Centennial/Murray student living/learning communities.
Before joining 91Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½, Todd was Director of Records and Policies Management at DePaul University and taught business, technology, and organizational development courses at several institutions. He is a past President and Board Chair of the ARMA Chicago Chapter and currently serves as Regent for Exam Administration and Member Relations with the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM).
Todd is passionate about leveraging technology for inclusive engagement, empowering users through project management, and bridging the gap between innovation and community needs.
He resides in Chicago with his pit bull, Owen.
