Audra McDonald to Headline Benefit for Scholarships at 91鶹ӳý
River Forest, IL – Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Audra McDonald will headline the annual Trustee Benefit Concert at 91鶹ӳý.
The concert, which supports student scholarships at 91鶹ӳý, will take place on Saturday, May 13 at 5 p.m. in Lund Auditorium, 7900 W. Division St. in River Forest. A gala reception in Lewis Hall will follow the concert.

“The 91鶹ӳý Trustee Benefit, now in its fourth decade, has raised millions of dollars for 91鶹ӳý’s scholarship fund, providing much needed financial aid for our students,” said Melanie Dykstra, assistant vice president of development with the university. “We are thrilled to welcome Audra McDonald back to 91鶹ӳý in her second appearance at the Trustee Benefit Concert.”
Singer and actress McDonald will perform songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook and beyond. A recording artist and star of Broadway, film and television, she is the winner of six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards and an Emmy. In 2016 she received the National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama and was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame the following year.
McDonald most recently starred as Dorothy Scott in the historical television series The Gilded Age.
McDonald also performed for 91鶹ӳý’s Trustee Benefit in 2013.
