National 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Oral History Archive Project

Will you join us in telling and preserving the history and life of the 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Family?
The National 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Oral History Archive Project, at the Mary Nona McGreal, OP, Center for 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Historical Studies at 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½, seeks to support the memory and study of the life of the 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ family in the United States.
Recognizing the rich histories, broad spectrums of service experiences, and increasingly diverse settings of 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Friars, Nuns, Sisters, and Laity, it is important to hear individual women and men’s stories to gain a more complete understanding of 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ religious life in the 20th and 21st centuries. In this endeavor, the National 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Oral History Project looks to capture the vocational life history of the 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ family.
At the core of 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ charism is study, and this project seeks to promote this central gift of 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ life. 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ archives across the country have collected oral histories of their members, but this project, through digitization, seeks to centralize this work into a single portal, that is accessible, searchable, and ready for future scholarship.
Please join us in our mission to preserve and tell the history and life of the Order of Preachers in the United States.
